VerhaalWe launched in Berlin in 2019 with a simple conviction: world-class research needs world-class leadership. From day one we focused on universities and research labs, learning how academic cultures differ from corporate ones and adapting leadership search and development accordingly. We’ve guided hiring processes to find the right leaders, and designed coaching and training that actually lands in teams and departments. Early on we wrestled with resistance to change—so we learned to pair practical tools with empathy. Today we take particular pride in promoting diversity and inclusiveness in leadership teams, because we’ve seen how that unlocked new ideas and real momentum for institutions we work with.
