Please describe your company and your position there. I'm a Senior Business Development manager for the Lettera, an investment company with offices in London and Hong Kong. We provide a number of investment and consulting services for companies and individual investors from US, Hong Kong and EU, specializing in mergers & aquisitions. OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE For what projects/services did your company hire ColorCreative? For the longest time, LetterA leveraged it's vast network of contacts and impeccable business reputation to attract new business. With the restrictions imposed by Covid19, one on one meetings, forums and roadshows had all but dissapeared, so shortly after joining LetterA, I was put in charge of adapting our sales materials to a new format and finding a vendor to develop a website for us. SOLUTION How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors? I didn't have prior experience with web design, so I mentioned this to my aquaintances and clients, and one of them recommended this company that designed a website for them for a good price. I also contacted some other companies online, but the way they approached communications put me off, so after an internal consultation we decided to go ahead with ColorCreative. Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project. After the initial call, we've had a discovery meeting, for which I called some senior management, during which we discussed our company, client profile, our goals from this website, what we wanted to communicate, e.t.c. I received the impression that they were really making an effort to understand our aims instead of taking a passive approach and just doing whatever we asked even if it's sub-optimal. After this meeting, they sent us some website examples of what approaches could work for us, and we stopped on a presentation-website. They sent us a proposal with time- and cost-estimates, and after we agreed to this, we cooperated on the contents of the website. They designed it, and, after our approval, developed it and put it on the web. How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions? At first I communicated with one of their digital marketers. She asked about our goals, what will be the purpose of this website, what content will appear on it, and so on, and proposed us a website design that would serve our purposes. After that we agreed on contents and website structure and he gave me some tips on which order to choose best and which of our texts should be shortened or expanded. Throughout the engagement, even when they were doing webstite design and development, this person remained the sole contact point for all questions and requests, which was very convenient. She inquired about our wishes and goals and made sure everything was done exactly as we wanted. RESULTS & FEEDBACK Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? I didn't have to change the texts we had in presentations much, since website loosely follows a presentation structure. The website ColorCreative designed and developed is very simple to navigate, as all our visitors have to do is to simply scroll to see all content on our website. The website is meant to aquaint the visitor with our company and services it provides, and I think it does its job well. How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs? I think it was good. They responded to every message quickly and were proactive regardin project progress. What did you find most impressive or unique about this company? I felt like they were really invested in delivering what we needed, made sure we achieve the results that we want. The questions they asked were on point and led me to think about the purpose of the project and what exactly we wanted to achieve from angles that I did not cosider before. Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently? I believe they were a little reserved about telling me outright when my ideas were not good, and instead asked pointer questions to let me come to my own conclusions. While I appreciate it, I believe the project may have gone a bit faster had they told me so right away on occasions where my ideas weren't feasible.
