Project gemaakt voor The Shapery in de Consumer Electronics industrie voor een B2B publiek. Van Uffelen Design & Consultancy has also been asked by design agency The Shapery in Shanghai to develop a multifunctional mop. The initial design is created by the agency themself. After the design phase was completed Van Uffelen developed the product into a final production model. We developed, among other things, a water spray mechanism. This feature gives the end user the possibility to wet the floor while mopping. Additionally, the mop can also be adjusted in height and the handgrip turns and twists with every move while using it. These features make sure that the user can have a good grip on the mop and maintain a healthy body posture while using it. On top of that, all plastic housing and loose parts are engineered for injection molding. Out of these parts the loose molds are made in China. The mop is manufactured with high-quality materials. ABS plastic and a steel tubing section. Furthermore, the mop is made with steel and a moisture-absorbing foot panel. Quality with a solid appearance.
Project gemaakt voor Bank2Loyalty in de Retail industrie voor een B2B publiek.Boost your customer loyalty by simplifying your customer identification! Connecting with your customer as a company or a brand, that is possible in many ways. But what if we tell you that one single system can make the difference by digitalizing multiple touch points in the (offline) customer journey? With this system we make sure that, for example, a customer can easily register as a new member for your loyalty program. The Bank2Loyalty system consists of a physical reader and cloud-based software. Moreover, it is compatible with all popular payment methods. Including bank cards and credit cards as well as touch-free payment options on smartphone and wearables. Van Uffelen Design & Consultancy has been asked to develop this physical reader. Ultimately, this device will be installed throughout the affiliated stores! During the development phase a number of powerful features have been added to the reader to further ease user convenience and the integration for the customer. This makes it possible to identify touch-free with, for example, a smartphone, physical identification with a bank card or optical with a barcode. The first series are now being manufactured. Something that was only an idea a few months ago is now turning into reality!
Project gemaakt voor Cedexis Medical Eyewear in de Technology Hardware & Equipment industrie voor een B2B publiek. "Robust, innovative and intelligent solution for the medical industry." Innovative technologies are more and more embraced in healthcare. Within the specializations of radiotherapy, echography and dental care, specialists are increasingly using so-called ‘near eye displays’, i.e., video glasses. In the line of work of these medical specializations, the transfer of screen information in the direct sight line of the patient or the specialist has been proven very valuable. The technology has a direct effect on the success rate of a treatment and it also provides optimal ergonomics. The most important reason for these positive effects is the reduced reliance on ‘fixed’ displays and the negative consequences of this for the patient as well as the specialist. Van Uffelen Design & Consultancy has been asked to cooperate on the design of the latest version of the Cedexis Vizo. The design of these video glasses is fully based on the results and feedback from the field. Hygiene, safety and sturdiness are of great importance in the medical world. This is why the latest Cedexis Vizo has no sharp corners or edges where filth can build up. Furthermore, the henges are fully engineered to withstand frequent and rugged use. Lastly, the external parts have been tested to resist scratches and impacts as much as possible. The interior has been designed with the goal to simplify the assembly process. This improvement has been achieved by working with intelligent modular solutions which will also support future adjustments in the hardware. As of now, the first series of glasses are being made in-house from bio certified materials (similar to polypropylene). Would you like to know more about this project or product?
